EASTCHESTER, N.Y. Nearly one year to the day that the Eastchester School District was forced to close the turf field at the high school following a safety inspection, officials are set to reopen the brand new track and field to students and the public. Last year, during an inspection, it was discovered that the connecting seams that run along the width of the field in five-yard intervals were beginning to lift, posing a safety hazard for students, student-athletes and the community.
