EASTCHESTER, N.Y. The Eastchester auxiliary police officer that was struck by an out of control SUV at the town's annual Columbus Day Parade over the weekend has been released from the hospital and returned home. Officer Mike Ibarra was directing traffic near the intersection of Main Street and Dempsey Place when the elderly driver lost control of his vehicle which reportedly bore a Tuckahoe-Eastchester Lions Club banner and came barreling down the street.
