EASTCHESTER, N.Y. After nearly two years of construction, political and other delays on the Parkway Road Bridge, the gateway connecting Bronxville and Yonkers may finally be just weeks away from reopening to the public. A routine inspection by members of the state Department of Transportation in June 2013 forced village officials to close the bridge suddenly to motorists when it was deemed to be a hazard to the public.
