The Eastchester Historical Society will conduct its annual meeting and host novelist and historian, Doug Hearle as its featured speaker on Sunday, April 26, at 2 p.m. His topic will be "The Silent Irish," a fascinating study of a group of Irish who worked on one of the important estates in lower Westchester after fleeing Ireland's famine in the 1840s.
