Bronxville BOE Considering Second Special Hayes Field Vote

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. Less than a month after voters overwhelmingly approved a flood mitigation plan and narrowly rejected a field reconfiguration plan, the community is calling on the Bronxville Board of Education to consider a second vote. After more than a year of debating and educating the public about the importance of installing a flood mitigation plan and subsequent synthetic playing surface at Hayes Field, the voters spoke last month, passing the first proposition 868-55, but rejecting the second by a narrow 470-452 margin in a special election.
