Metro North has added extra trains out of Grand Central in the afternoon, to help commuters out of New York City. Some school districts in Rockland, Putnam and northern Westchester, such as Lakeland and Brewster, had already scheduled today as a holiday; or, like Nyack and Ossining, they have a scheduled early dismissal.
