Bronxville Schools Seek LIU Hudson Teacher Residents

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. In their continued efforts to attract and produce some of the top teaching prospects in the tri-state area, officials with Long Island University Hudson at Westchester had an open house in the Bronxville School District as part of its Teacher Residency Program. Dating back to last year, the LIU Hudson-Bronxville Teacher Residency Program is designed to attract the top graduate students from the university, who are then mentored and supported by advisors in Bronxville who are veterans in the field of education.

EASTCHESTER, N.Y. The Eastchester Public Library is expanding its Battle of the Books program for 2015, and will be having a meeting for interested children and parents Monday. There will be two teams, the children's team for current third-, fourth-, and fifth-graders; the teens' team is the second team designed for current fifth-, sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-graders, according to a press release.
