EASTCHESTER, N.Y. With local pressure mounting on the Bronxville Board of Education regarding a synthetic turf playing surface at Hayes Field, schools officials are debating the merits behind a second vote on a slightly modified proposal. In January , residents went to the polls to vote on a pair of proposals, with voters overwhelmingly approving a flood mitigation plan, and narrowly there was an 18 vote difference rejecting the second, which would involve the installation of a synthetic resurfacing at Hayes Field.
